It’s beginning to feel like… an exciting end of the year for the HEC UK Office and our dynamic HEC UK Alumni community! While sharing chocolate santas on Tuesday morning during our Christmas breakfast at the House, we could not believe how time flies and what we have all achieved together since the opening of the UK House in March this year!
This is our last newsletter this year - we can't wait to catch up with you all, and in the meantime wish you and your families a wonderful festive time.
Warmest regards,
Your HEC in the UK Team

FOCUS OF THE MONTH: HEC LEARNING EXPEDITIONS IN LONDON
Certainly, as you have been following our newsletters, you might have seen that in the UK we are fortunate to welcome cohorts of HEC students all over the year. A number of you asked for more details and are keen to meet with them, recruit them, welcome them as part of a company visit, so we wanted to share some details with you.
Enriching Students Life, a pillar of the activity for HEC IN THE UK
"Learning expeditions, especially in a diverse and culturally rich city like London, are a multifaceted experience, integral part of the students’ programmes. Experiencing the dynamics of a bustling international city can provide students with valuable insights into global business practices, economics, and career opportunities." Delphine Mourot, Director of HEC in the UK.
2024 AGENDA
18-20 March
Launchpad students
These masters students are working on a start up project.
Jean-Amiel Jourdan is the Senior Executive Director of HEC Talents (formerly the career center). We asked him what the purpose of these expeditions is:
"Learning expeditions, career treks, or MBA exploration week in London epitomize our strong message to students: HEC Paris unlocks a world of opportunities so that they pursue their life purpose. We encourage them to explore sectors and geographies, to meet practitioners, and even to create space for fortuitous connections while abroad in order to determine their own personal paths.
Due to the intense collaboration between student clubs, academic programs, international offices, the Alumni Association and HEC Talents, students and participants directly benefit from an ambitious renewed model of connected communities that goes beyond the unidirectional model of professional networking between students and practitioners."

Your support matters: join HEC new auditorium fundraising campaign!
Since the fire that destroyed the Amphi Blondeau, many of you have come forward. We have been deeply moved by this outpouring of solidarity, and we collectively decided to give this amphitheatre an even more central place at the heart of the campus project, which will start in 2025.
The school has decided to rebuild an 840-seat auditorium, to make it the "heart of the campus", to open it up to the future public spaces of a new iconic building, with greater ambition than was originally planned in the future Campus project. Today, it is no longer just a renovation, but a reinvention!
All of this, of course, is yet to be built, but we have a wonderful opportunity here to make something even more magnificent with everyone's support. HEC alumni and friends, students, your donations are crucial to the school, and even more so in the context of this project, as they will shape the campus of tomorrow. We hope that many of you will participate in this project.

After winning gold in Tokyo, the judo champion is preparing to receive a coaching diploma from HEC Paris Executive Education in October. Quite a comeback for the kid from Asnières who didn’t like school. We followed her to Ariège, where she serves as a charming ambassador for her sport and the French Army, which has enlisted her like other elite athletes.
