We are extremely happy to propose you to attend the following hybrid conference, which will be held in English:

As some of you have already understood at the time of our latest Franco-Indian afterwork on March 11th, we feel that time has really come to be more focused on India, and hope that this is only the beginning of a series of events related to India, a magnificent country that we have recently somewhat neglected.
We are going this time, with this conference, to talk about business in India, with a person that knows very well how to do it, and who will explain us bout his country, about its history, its geography, its political framework which structures the largest democracy in the world, its cultures, its religions, its identity, its diversity, its expansion, its champions, its society, its demography, the strong and weak points of its economy, its challenges and its future, the opportunities its market offers to French companies, etc.
And, in addition to that, based on his own experience, he will also tell us about his tips to enter India, about the dos and don’ts to keep in mind and the key factors of success to enter the Indian market, and also about the success stories of French companies in India…
Last but not least, this conference will be opened of course to HEC Alumni, but also to our numerous Indian friends, some of whom have already participated to our Franco-Indian afterwork on March 11th and have already enjoyed the open-minded atmosphere of the events organized by HEC International Development Club.

As usual, this conference will be composed of three parts: (1) the speech of Sumeet Anand after a short welcome address, (2) the Q&A session (for both people in the conference room and people attending through Zoom), and (3) a cocktail (not for participants through Zoom !!) that will allow everyone to socialize, exchange cards, get to know each other, and benefit from the disinhibiting power of champaign !

Participating fee will be as usual 5€ for students and for people attending through Zoom, 20€ for HEC camarades who have paid their HEC Alumni membership fee and will attend this conference physically, and 25€ for those who have not paid it and for non-HEC persons who also want to attend the conference physically.

Sumeet is Independent & Non-Executive Director of Phoenix Mills Ltd, India’s largest retail-led real estate developer, owner and operator which is publicly listed on the Indian stock exchange with a market capitalisation~ $5 Bn.
Sumeet is involved in key initiatives to build relations between France and India.
Since 2022, he is co-founder and President of the France India Foundation, which aims to build bridges through its prestigious Young Leaders program between accomplished young leaders of civil society of both countries. Sumeet is also Co-Founder of the Fondation France-Asie, based in France.
Sumeet was the Past President (2019-2023) of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry/ CCI France- Inde, the official bilateral chamber of commerce between France and India established in 1977. He is a Member of the Global Board of Directors of CCI France International, the global body overseeing 120 Chambers of France across the world.
Sumeet is a Member of the Advisory Board of HEC Paris’s Society & Organisation Institute. He was formerly an elected member of the global Governing Committee of HEC Paris Alumni association.
Sumeet has a Master’s in Management/ Grande Ecole program from HEC Paris. He got his bachelor’s in commerce from H.R College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai and studied at Campion School, Mumbai.
Decorated with France’s highest national civilian award for his contribution to the development of relations in business & industry between France and India: Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur/ Knight of the Legion of Honour.
