Dear all,

#diversity, #climatechange, #blacklivematters, #METOO, #equality, #change…..
HEC International Offices are delighted to invite you to its upcoming masterclass:
Masterclass:
Understand and embrace the new activist generation at work
With Shaheena Janjuha-Jivraj , Associate Professor In Entrepreneurial Leadership And Diversity at HEC Paris in Qatar
Tuesday 22nd February 2022 | 7pm UK Time (GMT)
Online
What impact are new global social movements having in organisations? What changes are they bringing to the workplace & the future of careers? What are the new challenges faced by senior leaders from the previous generations and by emerging leaders from the new generation?
How can activism in the workplace become a powerful catalyst of change rather than a distraction?
Over the last few year global social movements such as the Me Too Movement, Black Lives Matter, and Climate Change attention, have become embedded in the core of organisations.
Today companies are becoming more aligned with social change and movements to address inequalities by creating opportunities & space for individuals to develop a more authentic approach to their leadership style.
Today, developing activism as part of your leadership toolkit is increasingly valued in the workplace. The challenge for emerging leaders is to develop a voice that is aligned with the values held by the organization; and the challenge for many senior leaders is to understand the increasing importance and role of activism in the identity of emerging leaders and how this will continue to influence CSR and social change agendas both within the workplace and across their markets.
In this masterclass, Prof Shaheena Janjuha-Jivraj, co-author of Futureproof your Career, will provide perspectives on key trends that are currently shaping careers. She will notably focus on how activism is increasingly an important element of leadership development.
