The future of carbon credits with Blockchain

Wednesday 28th February 2024 at 5pm (UK) / 6 pm (CET)

ONLINE EVENT

Blockchain technology has disrupted the market for carbon credits and other environmental assets. Whilst this technology can help address challenges and limitations of existing carbon markets and related standards, the market for digital carbon credits and other environmental assets is still in its formative stages. From educational to legal and regulatory barriers, there are still significant obstacles to overcome to pave the way for large-scale adoption by financial institutions or corporations.

The webinar will cover the current state of the carbon credit market and the transformative potential of technology in combating climate change. Our panellists, experts in carbon credit markets, digital measuring, reporting, verification methods, and blockchain technologies, will explore the possibilities of creating new standards for buying carbon credits. By leveraging digital innovation, trading carbon credits can transition into an era of enhanced transparency and accessibility, and empower industries to achieve climate neutrality.

Ramzi Laieb, Co-Founder at Carbonable

Jason Scherpenisse, Co-founder & Advisor et Egreen.com

Alejandra Verde Medina, Carbon and nature markets manager at ASES
