As the Olympics circus I about to hit town in a big way, it is a good opportunity to learn about the sports business Who knows, there could be room for a career or job opportunities for some of you...

Sports have long been a global activity, involving both local and international talents. Despite his time-consuming involvement, we have been able to distract one of those talents, Alexandre Maslin, from his current duties at On Location, a company running the Paris 2024 hospitality scheme.

Alexandre Maslin has a comprehensive vision of “Sports as a business”. After starting almost 20 years ago at Decathlon, he was hired by the French Rugby Federation as a project manager, then moved to Havas Sports for the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He then spent a few years at French sports giant ASO, initially as International events Director on such event as le Tour de France or le Paris-Dakar, then moving to become head of Ticketing & Marketing.

More recently, he cofounded a start-up to launch a brand of electric bikes, before becoming senior manager at On Location to handle the mega hospitality issue for Paris 2024.

The event is open to all members of the HEC Paris Chapter for a participating cost of 15 € (10 € for students).

Note : due the famous confidentiality policy of the CIO, this event was planned as part of our new "fireside chat" format... but Alexandre's home is too small to welcome 15 of you, so it's happening at HEC Alumni instead. As a result, please note that the event cannot be recorded nor broadcasted on line.
