About the Speaker
A true pioneer of fair trade, eco-friendly trade practices, and green business, Tristan is the celebrated founder of both Alter Eco, the first fairtrade brand to reach broad retail inprint in France, and more recently the Pure Project.
Aiming to pave the way to carbon-neutral products, Pure Project develops large-scale agroforestry, reforestation and forest conservation projects with fair trade and organic farmers, and is experienced in finding partners willing to fund such projects through the sale of environmental services such as “tree certificates” or carbon credits, mostly for multinationals.
Tristan has also advised Accor, Clarins, Chanel, Ben & Jerry's, Nature & Decouverte so as to reduce their carbon and ecological footprint.
An author of books such as 'Le pari du commerce équitable', Tristan was in the Salt Magazine 2015 Top 10 compassionate entrepreneurs list alongside Muhammad Yunus and Elon Musk, and also was one of Time's 100 most influential people.
