About Women in Art and the 2023 Prize

Created 6 years ago, Women in Art is a female-led not-for-profit community whose aim is to support mentor and promote women artists. Their mission is that WIA will become a valuable resource for all women artists and a step towards a more diverse and inclusive art world.

They aim to support, mentor and promote women artists, mainly painters and photographers, by featuring information and resources, interviews with female artists, articles on the history of women in art, and showcasing the work of up-and-coming talent.

Every year WIA organizes an award competition to celebrate women creativity and emerging female artists.

This private view will give you access to the work of the 22 finalists of the 2023 Women in Art Prize, showcased at RoundHouse by Gabrielle du Plooy, and discover amazing women artists and their journey in the art world, including 4 amazing artists, Svetlana Semenova, Vanessa Brassey, Amie Elizabeth et Suzie Silk, finalists of Women in Art Prize 2023.

About Gabrielle du Plooy

Gabrielle is the Managing Director of Women In Art, she is also the director of  Zebra One Gallery. She will share her journey in the art industry and explain  Women in Art's vision: "inspire and empower not just our generation of artists but the next generation of female artists."
