Join an interactive and immersive workshop to better understand how climate change works and why it is the challenge of the 21st century!
In partnership with the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain
Faced with the climate emergency, we believe that everyone needs to be trained on the basics of climate science, in order to understand the situation, collectively accept the structural changes that need to be made, and start taking effective action. The Climate Fresk is an empowering tool for everybody concerned with climate change and willing to raise awareness in their entourage.
The Climate Fresk: The online game to understand climate change
Tuesday 9th November 2021
6pm-8.30pm (UK Time) / 7pm-9.30 (CEST)
Online
About the workshop
The Climate Fresk is a serious game where participants, guided by a facilitator, use their collective intelligence to build a collage and link the causes and consequences of climate change using 42 cards that represent the different dimensions of climate change (Transportation, Additional Greenhouse Effect, Carbon Sinks, Terrestrial Biodiversity, Melting of Ice Sheets...).
Participants gather around a table in teams of 4 to 8. They discover 42 cards representing the different components of climate change and collaboratively work to identify cause and effect relationships, under the supervision of a trained facilitator to guide them, provide additional insights and ensure smooth communication.
- REASONING: Discovering and linking the cards and creating the collage
- CREATIVITY: Relaxing, taking ownership of the collage and decorating it
- DEBRIEF: A calm discussion on the participant's emotions and questions to finally brainstorm overt the individual and collective solutions
About The Climate Fresk The Climate Fresk is a French non-profit organisation created in 2018 by Cedric Ringenbach, with a mission: to raise awareness about climate change and train 1 MILLION people on the fundamentals of climate science, with a fun and collaborative workshop. In order to do so, The Climate Fresk: - Organises workshops open for the general public, either in-person or online - Trains facilitators and trainers who then organise workshops in a wide diversity of contexts (schools, political parties, universities, NGOs...) - Pilot various national and international projects to bring this knowledge to specific stakeholders (ministers, higher education, elected officials...)
