Join us for an amazing hosted night celebrating sustainability in champagne and whisky!
We will start with the wonderful Champagne Telmont, which aims to be the most sustainable house in the world through a 360 approach. Hosted by ambassador Jack Charlton, Maison Telmont was founded in 1912 by Henri Lhôpital. Still family owned, the Maison is rich in ancestral know-how: four generations of winegrowers bequeathing a strong commitment the terroir
and grapes to their successors, as well as the art of mastering each stage of wine making. Within the estates, important steps have been taken to transition towards organic agriculture and sustainable winemaking practices. The champagnes have a unique personality, presence, complexity and maturity, all the while preserving a remarkable ethereality, freshness and tension.
We will then move onto Bruichladdich, the incredible, provenance focussed sustainable whisky from islay in Scotland, hosted by Bruichladdich ambassador, Bill Shearer. Since it’s resurrection in 2001, the ambitions have gone beyond the simple idea of making and selling single malt scotch whisky. Our goal was to be an antidote to the industry norm. We set course to be pioneers, provocateurs and change makers. Reconnecting the land and the dram, re-evaluating the prescribed ‘rules’ of the industry, questioning where flavour comes from and understanding why agricultural ecosystems are important. This was a journey that would go on to inspire an army of distillers and drinkers across the world. As we continue this path, we discover that the more we learn, the more we know we need to do. Today, our commitments to people and the planet grow stronger, ensuring we use our business as a force for good.
