Dear HEC alumni in the UK, You have certainly received the email from Adrien Couret, President of HEC Alumni, who announced a few weeks ago that the HEC alumni has just finalized the purchase of an HEC House in London, a project that has mobilized our teams for the last 3 years. This is a huge milestone for our community in the UK and we are thrilled, and can't wait to welcome you when the house opens - this fall 2022. In the meantime, we have a full schedule of events for you to connect or reconnect with the community. Online, you can hear Jeremy Ghez about the Economic Decoupling and the Ukraine Conflict, and in-person in London, we are delighted to invite you to 2 events on Tuesday 26th April: the first HEC UK Governance Breakfast "The Role of the Board and the Future of Work" at 8am, and an HEC UK Women in Leadership Workshop "Being good enough is not enough - Building your greatest asset for career progression" at 7pm.

After a two-year search, we identified the ideal location to bring all HEC activities under the same roof. It is a superb 400 m2 space in the "Hexagon" building, located close to Covent Garden.
After a phase of fit-out work to shape the premises to the needs of the HEC community, the "HEC UK House" will open its doors in Autumn 2022.

HR magazine published an article based on HEC Paris Professor Tomasz Obloj's insightful research into pay transparency. According to his research, pay transparency reduces the gender pay gap by a whopping 40%. However, companies remain reluctant. :point_right: Read the article on HR Magazine here | US mid-market firms dominate HEC’s 2021 global private equity rankings North American private equity houses dominate a new ranking of the performance of global mid-market firms, with just three firms – two in Europe and one in Australia – making it into the top 20.
The ranking is based on data collected by Professor Oliver Gottschalg of the Paris-based business school HEC about firms who cumulatively raised $1bn-$3bn over a decade.
