As Merriam-Webster states: false news, propaganda, deception, and conspiracy theories have been crafted and weaponized throughout history, often with
Far-reaching consequences.”
Since then, this phenomena has amplified especially with the rise of the Internet, that again, in 2018, an article entitled “The Ruse of Fake News” on Harvard University official website addressed the importance of reducing the spread of fake news especially across Social Media.
Is this phenomena controllable? And “How can we create a news ecosystem and culture that values and promotes truth?”
