Governance
An Executive Board from an elected Committee
During the Annual General Meeting, a Committee is elected. One-third of the Committee is up for re-election each year. It is composed of 24 members, including 22 elected alumni, one representative from HEC Paris and one representative from the HEC Foundation. It meets four or five times per year.
This Committee chooses the President from among its members as well as the seven other members of the Board for a one-year term. The President may propose permanent guests to sit on the Board. The Board is the body which manages the association's daily activities. It meets every month. Its decisions are relayed to the permanent staff and volunteers by the general management of HEC Alumni.
Governance of the association is ensured by volunteers with a variety of professional backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of HEC Paris’ programmes and the career opportunities it offers: entrepreneurs, business leaders, international alumni, young graduates.

TreasurerThe Elders' Committee
The Elders' Committee is composed of seven members appointed by the General Assembly on the proposal of the Committee: two Grande Ecole alumni, two HEC MBA alumni, two Executive MBA alumni and one HECJF alumni.
The Elders' Committee mission is to ensure that the Association, both in its functioning and in its structures, respects the spirit that presided over the merger of the HEC, CPA and HECJF Associations as expressed in the preamble of the merger treaties concluded between them.
In particular, it ensures, as far as possible and without altering the principle of fungibility of the original Associations, that a balanced representation of the HEC Paris courses, of the gender balance, of the age pyramid and of the international character as well as of the diversity of the Members, is ensured in the bodies of the Association and in particular in the composition of the Committee and of the Board.
It is competent to rule on any question of ethics, deontology and relating to the values and aims of the Association (solidarity, trust, openness, respect, integrity, etc.). The Committee shall refer to it any draft amendment to the Statutes and/or the Internal Regulations. Any Member may refer matters to it in writing and it may be consulted by the Board or the Committee. It issues opinions or recommendations to the Committee. It shall inform the General Meeting by means of a specific report, on its own initiative or at the request of the Committee.
In the event of the resignation, incapacity or death of one of the members of the Elders' Committee, a new member shall be appointed by the General Assembly on the proposal of the Committee.
