HEC Companionship for a Purposeful Career Program
 2025

What if a final-year student, with whom you have no hierarchical link, were at your side to challenge your managerial posture and the direction you take in your career? What if you, too, could challenge this young person about his or her own attitude to peers and initial career choices? And what if, in addition to challenging each other in a non-judgmental setting, you were to support each other in making concrete adjustments to one or other of your actions or professional choices?

This is the Companionship approach, which Hubert de Boisredon (H.86) and Louis Faure (H.17) have been experimenting with for over six years: an original means of deploying Purposeful Leadership, based on free, reciprocal support between different people to help them act with greater courage and coherence.

In 2025, after 3 years of a pilot project developed by the Purpose Center of the HEC Paris Sustainability & Organizations Institute and Eotekum (the firm founded by Hubert de Boisredon and Louis Faure), HEC Life Project is joining forces with this initiative to turn it into a real Purposeful Leadership program for students and alumni alike.

In concrete terms:

  • A 3-month program (January to April 2025).
  • 60 student/alumni pairs formed following an online matching process.
  • 3h alumni briefing beforehand (and 9h student briefing).
  • 3x2h session/training in Purposeful Leadership and Companionship with students and alumni, in two classes of 30 pairs.
  • Regular exchanges with students during this period.
  • An innovative methodology devised by Louis Faure (H.17) and Hubert de Boisredon (H.86) based on their own experience of intergenerational Companionship and the accompaniment of over one hundred and fifty pairs with Eotekum.
  • Cutting-edge academic input from the Purpose Center at HEC's Sustainability & Organizations Institute (S&O).
  • A transformative intergenerational experience to put meaning at the heart of your professional posture and choices.
  • The training program is conducted in English.
