This event is organised in partnership with
DRINK & DO is a unique event taking place at the HEC UK House in partnership with the Institut National Métiers d’Art (INMA) and the Arts&Craft workshop platform Wecandoo. The event provides an opportunity to discover the craft sector while enjoying a drink and making your own luxury object. Throughout the event, attendees will learn more about the role of INMA in supporting the French craft industry both in France and in the UK. Additionally, Wecandoo will share information about their upcoming mission in the ecosystem, which is designed to help people discover the sector and support artisans to thrive with workshops. The event is perfect for anyone who is interested in craft, whether you're a professional or a beginner. Come and join us to learn, create, and connect with others who share your passion for craft! PROGRAM
- 6 :30pm : Welcome words about the craft sector, the role of INMA for the French craft in the UK, and the mission of Wecandoo
- 6:45 to 7:20pm: 1st workshop: discover wood curving and create your own engraved wooden board
- 7 :20pm to 7:55 : 2nd workshop: customizing clothes through embroidery - you can bring your own tee-shirt or piece of clothes you would like to personnalized
- 7 :55 to 8 :30 : drinks and networking
DISCOVER THE ARTISANTS
  | About Angel Nanchev: Originally from Bulgaria, Angel is a passionate artisan, expert in traditional ornamental wood carving. Using carving tools as chisel, Angel will introduce you to different techniques (letter carving, pattern shaping...). After this workshop, you will go home with your engraved wooden board. |
 | About Kamilah Amhed : Being an expert in Jamdani, a traditional weaving technique from Dhaka, Kamilah has worked for the most prestigious fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior or Valentino. Using sewing frames, Kamilah will show you how to personalize one of your clothes by adding your initials or small sewed patterns (please bring a t-shirt or something similar, otherwise Kamilah will provide you with a piece of textile). |
