This panel explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and energy, addressing the challenge of driving innovation while maintaining sustainability. Featuring three distinguished experts, the discussion will delve into:

  • AI as Energy Consumer – Understanding the energy demands of AI technologies and strategies to mitigate their environmental impact.
  • AI to Reduce Energy Consumption – Highlighting how AI optimizes energy efficiency across industries and contributes to a greener future.
  • AI and Ethics – Examining the ethical implications of AI in energy use, including equitable access, transparency, and accountability.

Yujia Du, Coaching at Yuijia Du Studio 
Over a decade of experience in clean energy, Yujia knows first-hand the challenges of balancing ambition with fulfilment Her journey in climate change began over a decade ago when she pursued a Master’s degree in renewable energy at Imperial College London. Since then, she has worked in a number of commercial, policy and leadership roles, driving forward the energy transition at organisations including Shell Renewables, Ofgem, National Grid Electricity System Operator, and Piclo.



Pascal Hartwig at BeZero Carbon
Pascal Hartwig oversees product design and management, go-to-market and technical delivery for BeZero’s products and services.
Before joining BeZero, Pascal held a variety of commercial and product roles at S&P Market Intelligence, most recently leading the global team of ESG Credit Specialists. Before that he worked in the trading organisation of Royal Dutch Shell. He holds a degree in Industrial Management at Wirtschaftsakademie Kiel.


 Catherine Palmer, General Counsel at Voltalis UK 
Catherine is a corporate lawyer  and lexicographer with a lifelong
commitment to Franco-British relations in education, law and
business. Catherine is on the board of the Franco-British Data Society
and is General Counsel of Voltalis UK. The Voltalis group is a pioneer
in providing an innovative energy efficiency solution enabling the
management of electricity demand of residential and commercial
 buildings.”
