Superagency, a term coined by Hoffman (founder of LinkedIn), describes a state where individuals, empowered by AI, supercharge their creativity, productivity, and positive impact. Even those not directly engaging with AI can benefit from its broader effects on knowledge, efficiency, and innovation. AI is the latest in a series of transformative supertools, including the steam engine, internet, and smartphone, that have reshaped our world by amplifying human capabilities. Like its predecessors, AI can democratize access to knowledge and automate tasks, assuming humans can develop and deploy it safely and equitably.

In 2025, AI is poised to reshape the consulting profession faster than ever before. It is clearly a game changer for the consulting industry.

Larger firms or expertise boutiques are signalling that they are just a few months away from innovations poised to commoditise many current offerings, significantly lowering their costs. This shift will likely redefine the industry, with leaner teams, streamlined operations, and increasingly automated services becoming the norm.

Generic advice is becoming obsolete as industry clients can now access tailored knowledge quickly and cost-effectively through AI-driven tools. To remain relevant, consultants must pivot toward offering value that AI cannot replicate—such as deep domain expertise, operational insights, and creative problem-solving. The emphasis on nuanced understanding and bespoke solutions highlights the growing importance of human ingenuity and experience in an AI-enhanced world. This is a timely wake-up call for the profession.

The impact on traditional roles will be profound on the pyramid. Entry-level analysts will see their ranks reduced as AI takes over data crunching and problem structuring. Research teams are set to shrink also, with AI generating faster, smarter insights for those who know the right questions to ask. Even design teams might face a sever reduction as AI transforms how professional outputs are created.

By automating many bricks such as data analysis and problem structuring, AI will push consultants to move beyond transactional services and deliver more creative, nuanced solutions that AI cannot replicate.
Deep expertise, authentic operational experience, and extreme adaptability together with solid creativity will define the future of the profession. Firms must embrace innovation and radical change or risk obsolescence.
Value proposition and pricing need to be radically changed. Anyway AI integration will not be enough, the entire consulting business model needs to be revised and rethought, may be reinvented.

For consultants, this is a wake-up call. Clients will no longer pay for generic advice when AI-backed tools allow them to gain solid knowledge on most topics with just 10 focused hours of study. The consulting profession’s future belongs to those with deep expertise—especially operational experience—who can provide creativity, nuanced understanding, and solutions that AI cannot replicate.

We invite you to come and reflect on these issues together, benefiting from the best expertise and feedback from players already involved in this transformation.

Given the breadth of the subject, we broke it down into 4 distinct but related parts.

Our lecture #1 will focus more specifically on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on methods and tools used by consultants, and their « way of working ».

In the meantime, whether or not you register for this conference, could you please take 10 minutes of your time to answer the following survey
