The HEC UK Art Club is delighted to invite you to its next online webinar:
Ukrainian porcelain collectors: social origins, tastes, migrations and their way of collecting.
Tuesday 29th October at 6:00pm UK time
Online
In partnership with Les Amis du Musée National de Céramique de Sèvres
Join us with Liudmyla KRAVCHENKO for an online conference on ukrainian porcelain collectors: the passion for collecting art in Ukraine intensified at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Noble families and intellectuals were naturally art lovers, but during this period, collectors who consciously and professionally gathered works of art began to emerge in Ukrainian cities. After the 1917 revolution, nearly all of these collectors had to leave the country, with many ending up in Paris. The conference will discuss these collections and the fates of their owners in emigration.
About Liudmyla KRAVCHENKO: Curator of the European porcelain collection at the Bohdan & Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Arts, Kyiv, Ukraine. PhD student at the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management of Ukraine and at the Ecole du Louvre.
