Relational leadership: an evening with HEC professor Valerie Gauthier

Join us on March 6th from 6-9pm in Chanel's USA headquarters for an evening with Valérie Gauthier, HEC Professor (Best Professor of the year 2001) and former Dean of the HEC MBA program (2002-2010)

Professor Gauthier's research on the links between successful leadership and human relationships led to the development of relational communication and leadership development programs in schools and in companies under the concept of Savoir-Relier (Leading with Sense).

THE SESSION WILL BE IN ENGLISH


The first part of the evening, from 6:00 pm, will allow us to experience Savoir-Relier through a board game designed and developed by Professor Gauthier. Gaming is the best way to perceive the benefits of dialogue in terms of leadership and influence.

The second part of the evening, from 7:00 pm, will be dedicated to a conversation with Professor Gauthier, where she will explain more in details her journey, the building blocks of her approach, and the results and impacts she sees when deploying Savoir-Relier within organizations (from schools, universities to global organization & corporations)

The third part of the evening will be dedicated to drinks, small bites and networking to extend the discussion.

Valerie Gauthier – Biography

Gauthier has a BS in Psychology, Masters in Modern Literature and English, a PhD in Comparative Literature and Stanford’s Graduate Business School’s Executive Program (EPSO). In addition to teaching at HEC, she is a visiting professor at NYU Stern and MIT Sloan since 2011. She was Dean of the HEC MBA Program between 2002 and 2010. Her programs about Savoir-Relier reached 120,000+ participants among 192 countries with a 97% satisfaction rate. Global companies like Chanel, Toyota, L’Oréal, Apple, Kering and more deployed her approach. Gauthier expands the reach and the impact of Savoir-Relier with a board-game called Dialog’, proposing a perfect turn-key introduction for pupils, students and corporate team-mates. She is the author of “Leading with Sense: The Intuitive Power of savoir-relier” (Standford University Press, 2010).
