Join the HEC Alumni Committee

The Board of Directors (“Committee”) is the collegial body which collectively represents all the members of HEC Alumni and within which decisions are taken collectively.
The Committee proposes strategic directions for HEC Alumni at the General Meeting. It implements the strategic guidelines decided, manages and administers the Association in accordance with these guidelines, and in line with approved budgets. It also elects the Executive Board (“Bureau”) of HEC Alumni.
The HEC Alumni Association is part of a wider ecosystem, which includes HEC Paris and the HEC Foundation. The three entities, each with its own mission, work together to increase the impact of HEC Paris, reinforce its reputation and provide for its future. Since 2023, a number of projects driven jointly by the three entities have emerged in a common ‘One HEC’ dynamic: : a centralised database, more aligned communication, strengthening of international actions, mapping of the student/alumni journey, etc.
HEC Alumni Association
The HEC Alumni Association manages an annual budget of 4.5 million euros, with a team of 20 staff members. Its purpose is to foster strong connections among alumni and with HEC Paris, empowering our diverse and global community through lifelong learning, collaboration, and mutual support. In doing so, we actively contribute to HEC Paris’ mission.
HEC Alumni defines its mission as: We Share. We Dare. We Care.
We Share. With the help of 1,500 active volunteers, HEC Alumni organizes more than 1,000 events each year servicing a community of 80,000 HEC graduates globally: conferences, reunions, class anniversaries… Hundreds of interest groups, whether by industry, region or promotion, are managed by volunteers and administered by the Association.
We Dare. HEC Alumni offers a range of services to its fee-paying members, including mentoring, online education and professional support. It manages a range of ambitious projects for the HEC community, including an investment fund (HEC Ventures), a prestigious gala dinner to support HEC's impact mission, the HEC UK House operated from London, and awareness-raising around themes such as sustainable transition and the future of work.
We Care. HEC Alumni maintains a solidarity fund to help alumni in difficulty and drives solidarity projects within the community. It supports alumni in particular through its HEC Life Project offer of professional and personal support.
The Association is facing a number of challenges that will shape its future: firstly, the transformation of its activities against a backdrop of accelerating digitalisation (data management, new uses, AI, etc.) and changing demographics in the community (increasingly diverse and international); secondly, the change in its business and funding model; and thirdly, the success of ‘OneHEC’ initiatives.
Members of the Committee
There are currently 24 Committee members: 22 members elected at the annual General Meeting, as well as two ex-officio members (HEC Paris, represented by its Dean, and the HEC Foundation, represented by its President). Members are elected to three-year terms (which may be renewed twice).
The Committee meets four to eight times a year on dates set by the President. Each member of the Committee pledges to regularly and physically, or remotely, attend the Committee meetings, to make substantial contributions to its work, and to act in accordance with the rules laid down in the governance charter.
The Committee seeks profiles that adhere and have shown a commitment over multiple years to our values of Excellence, Curiosity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Responsibility, and Diversity. The Committee makes decisions based on building a representative mix of gender, geographies, HEC degrees, generation, and career experience.
A Nomination Committee has been formed to evaluate applications according to the criteria determined by the Committee, and its present needs.

The Committee invites all applicants to apply. Considering its current composition, it is particularly interested in international profiles and candidates with an HEC MBA degree. Skills such as Digital marketing and Media are also particularly sought-after.
