The global showcase for entrepreneurship at HEC.

Organized every year since 1999, the Mercure HEC are trophies that reward the best entrepreneurs in the HEC community around the world.

This program organized by the Hub Entreprendre and HEC Alumni is intended to promote and encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship within the HEC community, and participate in the development of the entrepreneurial values of the HEC brand.

It should also allow better identification of all the entrepreneurs in the community around the world, and each year, highlight those who have been the most remarkable.

The Mercure HEC are intended to be the global showcase for HEC entrepreneurs.

8 geographical areas for 8 Mercury HEC

Since last year, in order to better enhance the international dimension of the community, the Mercure HEC have been segmented into 8 geographical areas.

From now on, a specific HEC Mercury is awarded each year in each of the zones.

The 8 areas * are:

FRANCE – EUROPE – AFRICA – MIDDLE EAST – NORTH AMERICA – LATIN AMERICA – CENTRAL & SOUTH ASIA – EAST ASIA & PACIFIC.

Rewarding entrepreneurs, all entrepreneurs, for their excellence.

At the Mercure HEC, it's the entrepreneur who wins, not his or her company.

Start-ups, takeovers, multi-entrepreneurs, developers of family businesses, or simply entrepreneurs of traditional companies of all sizes and in all sectors of activity, are rewarded without distinction or priority, 

The excellence sought is assessed on the basis of a very precise set of criteria: the entrepreneur's personality, ambition, achievements and track record, as well as his or her reputation and alignment with HEC's strategic challenges (inclusiveness, sustainability, prosperity).

Jury of experts and vote of the HEC community

To designate the winners of the year, each area has set up a Regional Selection Committee responsible, on the one hand, for identifying each year the entrepreneurs in the area likely to be rewarded, and, on the other hand, for establishing the short-list of nominees for the area which will then be submitted to the vote of the HEC community. The entrepreneur who collects the most votes is then designated HEC Mercury of the Year for the area concerned.

Each Selection Committee is made up of active members of the chapters concerned by the area *, and regional experts in entrepreneurship (members of investment funds, entrepreneurs, consultants, etc.).

All members of the HEC community can participate in the final vote in each area that interests them.

The identification of entrepreneurs likely to be rewarded takes place each year, from November until the end of February of the following year.

If you wish to propose an entrepreneur who deserves to be rewarded, do not hesitate to submit it to the Selection Committee of the area concerned (contacts in "Regional Selection Committees" section).

The Selection Committees also always need reinforcement. If you would like to join the Selection Committee for your area, do not hesitate to submit your application to them.

Finally, if you have a question to ask us or a suggestion to make, do not hesitate to contact one of the members of the worldwide Organizing Committee (contacts in the "Organizing Committee" section).

And above all, at the beginning of April, don't forget to participate in the vote to designate one or more of the 8 Mercure HEC of the year.
