So you've decided to take the plunge and have a professional coach help you bring your projects to life? Congratulations! Certified and experienced, our partners are there to help you orient yourself, gain confidence and move forward effectively. As long as this relationship is established on good foundations: coaching requires efforts on both sides. To make the most of it, be prepared!
Step 1: define your goals
What are you looking for in coaching? A role-model, therapeutic support, answers to the working world of tomorrow? Fail: coaches are neither diviners nor gurus (in this case, get the astrology section of your TV magazine). Trained to help you set your professional goals into motion, they're at their best when you present them with specific issues. Before contacting them, take the time to ask yourself a few questions: on which axis do you want to progress? which project is important to you? what possible obstacles are preventing you from moving forward?
Step 2: test!
Our Coaching Access formula provides you with our coaches' CV Book and offers you two 15-minute telephone interviews with the partners of your choice before making a commitment with one of them. Take this opportunity to target your demand! Former human resources, banking experts, managers, reconverted entrepreneurs ... Our coaches all have different backgrounds. Take the time to browse their CVs, sites and publications - keeping in mind that a coach's skill lies more in making you think about your needs than in their expertise in a particular industry.
Step 3: trust yourself
Individually and mutually. Individually first, because choosing a coach is also a matter of feeling: once the list of rational criteria has been validated, pay attention to the way in which your interlocutor listens to you, answers you and puts you - or not - comfortable. Don't hesitate to ask your friends for recommendations if you have doubts! The same coach will not always be suitable for two people (even close friends) but word of mouth can reassure you. Mutually then, because the coaching relationship will be more solid if you share a certain vision of work and feel safe enough to address your vulnerabilities.
Step 4: set the scene
Your objectives are clear, you have met and chosen your coach, you are ready to trust him/her… yet you still have to determine the framework of this relationship. Our Coaching Access gives you access to 3 sessions of 1 hour: a pre-defined timeline allows you to be more specific in the goals and progresses you expect to achieve. If possible, favor face-to-face meetings: communication also involves everything non-verbal. If you can't help exchanging from a distance, try to conduct your interviews in a secluded room, away from your workplace. Finally, and above all, let go and enjoy this time that you are giving yourself!
